The Electric Palace in Harwich is now well established as a venue for jazz concerts - staged at approximately monthly intervals. The programme is run by a team of volunteers - the proceeds going towards the upkeep and maintenance of the historic building { Grade 2 * Listed }.
Some musicians who have appeared at the Electric Palace since it reopened in 1981  -  Ken Colyer, Sonny Morris, Theo Travis, Andy Sheppard, Lewis Wright, Sammy Rimington, Peter Ind, Freddie Lonzo, Colin Bowden, Butch Thompson, Roy Williams, Barry Martyn, John Sutton, Hugh Rainey, Georgie Fame, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Chris Burke, Les Muscutt, Clive Wilson, Spats Langham, Cine Chimera, and
The Matrix Ensemble playing a Mike Westbrook score.
